Fitness Plan, Day One – The Snooze Cruise
Things I like about getting up at 5:45 am to exercise:
1) Not having to put on sunscreen.
2) Not having to wear a hat.
3) Getting a jumpstart on the day.
4) Getting it bloody-well over with.
Things I don’t like about getting up at 5:45 am to exercise:
1) Getting up at 5:45 am.
Well, we did it. 5:45 came around and after only one alarm clock snooze, we were up! If you knew anything about our daily debate about whether snoozing increases or decreases your alertness throughout the day, you would know that in itself is an achievement.
The baby wasn’t bothering with any snoozing business. He transferred, still asleep, into the stroller.
Within a minute, our older boy was alert and chanting a morning song about going bumpity-bump in his stroller and was fairly over the moon about the breakfast bars and milk we had prepared for him. This was high adventure.
We walked, we ran, and we stretched. (Note that taking pictures for your Very Important Blog is a great excuse – I mean reason – to take lots of breaks). It’s now 7:23 and I’m all done with my exercise for the day and already posting the pictures for you. Good morning!!
There, that’s done, and it really does feel great. Now, the question is: Can we do it again tomorrow??
