Fitness Plan, Day Two – Baby, It’s Cold Outside and So Am I

Fitness Plan, Day Two – Baby, It’s Cold Outside and So Am I

All that nice warm weather yesterday appears to have been a fluke. It was COLD this morning. On the bright side, it was also sunnier.

Day two of any running program always seems to be the easiest for me. I was able to do a lot more running today. As for Day Three, I anticipate entering the gates of hell on hands and knees tomorrow, if history repeats itself. Day Three is when I always start to question the wisdom of not being on the couch, under a blanket, a steaming cup of coffee in one hand and the remote in the other. (Not that my busy children allow that sort of scene, but this is the sort of fantasy that runs through my head as I’m cramping and wheezing along).

That is not the sun.

Catching some moon.

Early Bird Service

Smoke On the Water

A quick internet search tells me these might be Great Egrets.

View through the trees.

Did I mention it was cold?

Just a cool tree.

On Golden Pond

Much prettier than the backs of my eyelids, I have to admit.

The actual sunrise!

Morning light on the hillside.

Breakfast al fresco.

After our run, which went considerably faster today due to all the actual running, as opposed to walking. We also stretched and did ten seconds of a plank. Hey, ten seconds is more than we did yesterday! Olympics, here we come!
