Thanksgiving Brunch Menu: Sandwich Buffet

Thanksgiving Brunch Menu: Sandwich Buffet

Thanksgiving is almost here, and I think I’ve got my brunch menu down.

Last year, I wanted to hit all the big traditional flavors. This year, my concept is a Thanksgiving Sandwich Buffet. Yes, it’s casual, but sparkling wine will be served in crystal glasses, so that balances it out!

I’ve scoured all my magazines and cookbooks and come up with this menu. Absolutely everything will be made ahead of time, including the turkey breast. (I’ll smear it with herbs the day before and roast it Thanksgiving morning so the house smells delicious and inviting). Everything else just needs to be put into bowls or on platters. Relaxed and easy.

I hope it inspires you and that you have a wonderful holiday.

As an extra treat/punishment, here is a little trip down Thanksgiving Memory Lane.

Here’s picture of Cute Banker and me on our first married Thanksgiving. We both look a little sleepy and he’s got an angel growing out of his head. That’s the special magic of home snapshots. Incidentally that sweet, tiny girl (our niece) is now a spectacular young lady, ruling the school at her high school. Wow! Treasure the moments while they’re here.

This is the following year. Baby On Board!

I love the choice of decor for the photo. Was I hot? Going for an unnaturally windblown look?

And, the year after that. Now this little Butterball is 4 1/2 years old and he’s got a little brother. Who is also not so little anymore.

This is where the trip stops. I’m not sure why, but I have no Thanksgiving pictures after 2009, except this one from last year. Maybe I’ll get around to it this year, just to prove I have two children. Or maybe I’ll just have another Mimosa.

Happy Thanksgiving!
